What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy tutoring and teaching because enabling people to learn and understand concepts more effectively is fulfilling for me. Having gone to a 'regular' public school, I understand how it can be difficult for people to fully learn concepts alone. Tutoring people to be successful allows me to see a positive impact where my peers and I struggled due to circumstance.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my strengths as a tutor, particularly for older students, would be in being able to be friendly with students. As I am still of a similar age, I understand problems they face and still share much in common. This enables a much more open and honest relationship with students and ensures I can give the most effective feedback and support possible. I also think that my proven academic ability in VCE is a great strength. Having the knowledge to assist in a wide variety of issues ensures I am effective in supporting students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that offering support and further understanding into the subject in question is the most important role of a tutor. As a tutor, ensuring that a student's misunderstandings and queries in an area are explained and clarified is very important. Giving the student a deeper understanding to truly grasp a concept is core as a tutor. To further ensure their understanding, offering alternative resources and material to practice is also important as a tutor. A student may not understand where to find effective resources, and as a tutor I can ensure I provide these resources.
