What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
My greatest joy from tutoring comes from the help and support that I give to my students. I have found that as I tutor, I become heartily invested in the progress of the kids I work with supporting them both academically (i.e. marks wise) but also more broadly, as they become more confident and developed thinkers. I do not believe tutoring it just an academic relationship either; there is also a more personal bond that develops and grows over time that makes the whole experience considerably more enjoyable.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe I have two greatest strength as a tutor. My versatility in teaching allows me to cater to many different skill levels and work with many different minds. This dynamism ensures all of my students feel catered for and can access their potential. Furthermore, I have excellent interpersonal skills, which ensure I develop a strong relationship with my students quite early on, and most importantly provide them with self-confidence - the essential factor in creating a drive to succeed, and by extension better results.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Practically, the vital thing a tutor can do is almost entirely dependent on who the student is. By that I mean, a tutor must figure out how their student learns, thinks, how confident are they to gauge how to cater to them. However, the essential things tutors must do is firstly, enable the students to understand themselves better, so that outside the tutoring sessions, they can achieve to the best of their abilities. Secondly, the tutor must help provide the students with confidence and drive through support and discussion, as without these, the tutoring sessions become far less effective.
