What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The process of translating complex maths theories to be specific and easy to understand makes me enthusiastic and that it makes my students feel less challenging. In addition, motivated by my Teaching Degree, I am even active to pursue the perfect teaching outcome as I always ask my students if they need further help as well as the level of my teaching. This allows me to reflect upon my tutoring as I always expect better performance next time. I feel satisfied and glad when I see my students learning a lot.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As an education student in Adelaide University, I am adept at activate the prior knowledge of my stduents before introducing new concepts and ideas. I always attempt to find connection between things to be teach and life experience of my students so that they are more likely to construct their understanding. Furthermore, I am a reflective tutor having high expectation to myself and willingness to listen to useful advice from stduents. As a result, I am able to improve all the time.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

(1) Value of patience: Being a tutor/teacher means I have to face a range of students whose level of understanding completely vary. My students will emotionally accept me only if I am patient enough. (2) Value of resilience: Teaching is very flexible as I should be active to explore the strengths and weaknesses of my students, finally develop their advantages and fill up their shortcomings. (3) Value of willingness to sacrifice: Some students have lower level than expected, then I need to work overtime and make sure that they reach their study goals.
