What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Having taught and mentored several peers and children over the years, I have realized that tutoring has consistently kept my curiosity alive and pushed me to explore depths that I wouldn't explore otherwise. It has helped me consolidate my own knowledge, fill gaps in my learning and improve my confidence by making me a master of my craft. But above all, it is the immense satisfaction I receive by creating a meaningful impact in the lives of other people that motivates me to continue tutoring.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Apart from the mastery of subject material, I constantly work towards being easily approachable and communicating non-judgementally. Before every session, I rigorously prepare for the questions/concepts that I want to teach and then try to lay them out as simplistically as possible so that they can be communicated effectively. I also try to emphasize on how to think as opposed to what to think.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that acknowledging the student's difficulties by reminding oneself of one's own personal challenges and maintaining a non-judgemental and optimistic attitude while tutoring goes a long way in bringing out the best in students.
