What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The thing that I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to share my knowledge and approach to writing and comprehending english. The ability to more cohesively communicate an idea or argument through the manipulation and application of the various techniques and skills of english has always engaged and interested me. The process required to achieve this both immerses and complements myself and my skills respectively and thus I find genuine joy in breaking down and teaching this process.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Assuming my english skills and knowledge are a given, my strengths as a tutor include my ability to empathise and approach tasks with logic. When dealing with most things in my life, my nature leads me to make sense of things in logical chunks to create a flow that can be easily followed. This means as a tutor, when needing to explain a concept, taking the student's knowledge into consideration I can make sure to break down the concept into a flow of logic that the student can follow. This ability to empathise also allows me to be flexible in the way I teach for the needs of the student.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I consider the most important things a tutor can do for a student include empathising with their current knowledge and instilling not just a higher level of knowledge, but tools and habits to improve autonomously. The ability to empathise with the learning style of the student as well as their current level of knowledge is imperative to being an effective tutor; no matter how knowledgeable the tutor may be, the failure to communicate with the student will potentially lead to little being gained. Furthermore, not just teaching concepts, but how to approach tasks to improve is also crucial.
