What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy allowing students to reach their fullest potential by equipping them with encouragement and a simple push to advance their studies. I believe that everyone has the right to learn and they should always be eager to, as it can truly change the world. I would also love to give them some guidance into any post tertiary study they would like to pursue. The easiest way to do that is by allowing them to score well in high school and have the necessary knowledge to carry on through university or TAFE etc. I am currently a student ambassador at QUT, but have course knowledge for alternate pathways, so I'd be qualified to provide advice on this.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am definitely a strong communicator. As a young aspiring engineer, I understand that it is especially important to network, be able to work well in teams and to be able to communicate with my managers and clients. From studying engineering, this has definitely developed my interpersonal skills in a formal and more technical setting which is suitable for tutoring and helps me transfer ideas across to students. I also encourage critical thinking which allows students to come up with their own ideas and question the teacher. I have also developed my communication skills in the role as school captain, these definitely shine through in my teaching, especially in topics I am passionate about such as streams of mathematics and science.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I definitely think that there needs to be a solid understanding of the student and the way in which they learn so that the tutor can teach them in a way which is most effective to them. Along with this, I think that the tutor should make the student feel comfortable with them so that they feel free to ask questions or ask for further clarification.
