What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy being able to see students' improve because of a service I have given them - it brings me joy that my expertise could be of help to someone. Seeing how others think and learn is also an interesting part of tutoring for me, as well as actually relearning some of the content I'd learnt in high school - as surprising as that may seem.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I feel that I am able to quickly understand where exactly students lack understanding which allows students to get more out of each lesson. I also adapt to different students easily - for example; I will take control of the lesson in terms of how I should teach, if the student is unsure of what they need/want but also can let the students drive the lesson if they know what they want and how I could be of help.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

To actually be committed to helping the student and genuinely wanting to help the student is most important in my opinion. I have personally had tutors who excelled in their own academics, but were not genuinely wanting to tutor - unfortunately this meant that they did not give the best explanations and guidance they could give to me. I met a tutor after that, who had a more motivated mindset, and this made me realise how important this was.
