What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I think like a teacher, being a tutor can be really rewarding and fulfilling, particularly when approached with the right attitude. I enjoy building relationships and rapports with others. I believe this is an important skill, particularly in tutoring, where effective communication and building trust with students can improve learning by promoting a positive attitude to studying. Additionally, I love helping people and I often find myself doing so in my classes. I may explain, confirm or clarify information with my classmates.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I believe my strength lies in my ability to foster relationships where my students can confidently ask questions and have the freedom to argue against what I teach. I believe whilst education can very much be studying as per a textbook, it is equally important to question things in order to better understand and grasp information. As a tutor, patience is another important quality especially for those who may need some extra help to understand concepts. I am confident in my ability to calmly explain ideas in the simplest way for each individual to understand.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I think it is crucial for tutors to realise that each student has their own special of learning, looking at things and understanding the world. When tutors can identify this and take the time to tailor their teaching methods to each individual, I think this is when they can provide the best service to encourage students to learn. Whilst the role of a tutor is to help others learn, I think part of a tutor's responsibility is to ensure that they too take time and make the effort to continually grow, learn and improve themselves.
