What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I get enjoyment from kids showing their understanding of concepts by getting questions right from my teaching and explanation because it shows I was able to do my job as a tutor to help students understand concepts. I also get joy when students ask me questions about their misunderstandings relating to certain concepts because it shows their comfortability towards to share their misunderstandings.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
The strengths of a tutor are being able to adapt and being energetic. Adapting is important as tutors should cater towards every student's learning and each student learns a different way. This means that if your intial explanation did not help the student's understanding then a different approach to explaining is required as the student will not understand if the intial explanation is continually repeated. Energetic is also important as it can be a key factor in motivating students to do their work, instead of being bored and not listening and be behind as a result.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important things for a tutor to do for a student is making sure students are understanding concepts and tracking their progress. This can mean explain concepts differently, rectifying issues with their work, provide extra work and making sure they ask questions. Tutors also need to make sure they track the progress of students to see their improvement and being involved with their progress as much as possible.
