What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

That lightbulb moment when a student understands a concept which they have been struggling for a fair amount of time and now have access to solving many problems which they normally wouldn't. What is also pleasurable is the problem solving which is involved in having to explain a concept to a student in ways that I never considered before as well as how this extends my own understanding of the content since high school.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Patience - I am a very patient person and am willing to explain/go through a problem or concept with a student in as many different ways as they require to understand it. Abstract thinking - I am able to explain abstract concepts to students (such as when algebra or calculus is first introduced) in simplified, everyday ways in order to boost their learning. Communication - Due to my experience as a real estate agent I am not only well versed in articulating my own thoughts to students in order to help them tackle problems but am also experienced in listening to the student's issues.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think that a tutor shouldn't just rote teach a student problems so that they can pass exams, this leads to little useful learning on the students part. I think a tutor's most important job is to teach the student problem-solving strategies/learning methods as well as thoroughly work through the in's and out's of the content; alongside problems so that the student can more effectively tackle tricky questions in upcoming exams/in adult life.
