What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the idea of being able to help someone learn and act as their mentor through the use of my own experiences. It is a rewarding job as I myself am able to track the progress of my client/student and see how they develop necessary skills over time to tackle any concept no matter the difficulty and ace exams.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my strength as a tutor lies with my personal experience of undergoing the HSC recently myself (2018), allows me to understand the perspective of the client and understand what they expect and require from myself as a tutor. As I was tutored myself by various tutors throughout high school, I was able to compare and pinpoint strengths and weaknesses within each tutor in helping me achieve my goal of success in high school maths. I found that strong tutors tend to focus and cover the specific weaknesses of each client which I would be happy to make the fundamental focus of my lessons.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe one of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is serve as a secondary teacher/mentor to a school teacher. As school teachers have to focus on a large class (usually around 30 students), they are unable to address the needs of each student. As each student has their own struggles and needs, an exterior tutor provides guidance and mentoring catered towards the needs of the student. This contributes towards the achievement of higher grades, a greater understanding of mathematical concepts and builds on problem solving and rational thinking.
