What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I like that tutoring can give students that one on one support that they might not receive in the classroom. Tutoring supports students in building their knowledge at home so that they can use it at school and in their everyday lives.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe that i am very patient and can think of multiple ways to explain concepts to students. I like to use concrete materials to help explain things and i believe that using every day examples to explain concepts to students makes the mathematics meaningful. When teaching I use these techniques and i think they would strengthen my tutoring.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Be a positive roll model. Some students dislike specific subjects and they put themselves down and don't want to do them, i believe that if a tutor can be positive and make the work enjoyable then the students will change their perspectives. Helping students become self reliant and independent when completing their work is the most important outcome of tutoring and by being positive at every tutoring session I think a tutor can achieve this.
