What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy working with students and my passion derives from my own experience of being a school student myself. In the past, I often struggled in my own academic abilities, leading me to lose confidence. However, after having a tutor, I gained appreciation for what they were doing for me, helping me reach my full potential and increase in confidence. This has led me to wanting to do the same for other students.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I believe my strengths as a tutor, is the ability to empathise and be patient with the students. This is a crucial asset in which the students must learn at their own pace, and having a patient and kind tutor will lead them to success. Moreover, I am very passionate about allowing students to reach their full academic potential, through demonstrating to them that school subjects don't have to be tedious, but can be clearly understood and fun.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

The most important things tutors can do is to be enthusiastic and engaging about the subject their teaching their student because this then allows students to believe too, that the subject they're learning is not boring or bad. Moreover, tutors must have confidence in their student in succeeding and doing well, in which the Pygmalion effect proves that students can excel when their tutors believe that their student is capable and intelligent. Furthermore, it is important to realise that it is okay if the students do not fully understand the content at first, but they will slowly learn to.
