What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I am a passionate, caring and approachable person. I enjoy the personal experience when tutoring as I think it enables the teacher to fully understand how the student learns and where their misconceptions or hindrances to learning are. This helps me to teach the student in the most effective way and I get a thrill out of seeing them understand and enjoy learning.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I have an ability to break down complex mathematics problems into smaller, simpler problems that the student can understand. I have an ability to understand how the learnersβ prior learning can act as a building block for new learning. I aim to show the learner that they can relate the new problem to prior concepts they have already learned and previous problems they have carried out before.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I am a believer that confidence in learning is key to understanding. As a tutor I would aim to show the learner that maths can be fun and easy if they have confidence in their ability. I would do this by building the learner up and being careful to teach them at an appropriate level to their ability whilst also challenging them.
