What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring is not just about teaching but also learning and self-developing. With the commitment to continuous development, tutoring gives a feeling of personal accomplishment and self-confidence. We all learn differently, in different ways, and at different times. As such, helping other individuals learn and develop influences me to feel great inside. We can get great experiences and crisp thoughts from the understudies we are mentoring. Going back at one’s childhood and thinking through the students’ perspective is what I like the most. The best moment is the ‘aha’ moment when the student gains the confidence that ‘Yes, I have done it’.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Well-organized and patience is my biggest strength as a teaching assistant. Being self-aware, I try to identify approaches that do work-out for my student, instead of sticking to one plan. I am able to create a genuine connection with my student, making them comfortable in earning. I am focused on the end goal of each lesson, unit plan or school year. I often think of creative ways of explaining concepts. My first importance as a tutor will be the student. I put an effort to know my students’ background, interests, strengths and needs, valuing the diversity of each and every student.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Knowing a student and modelling his learning plan accordingly addressing his concerns. Give positive messages. Students require somebody to encourage them in a genuine manner, to make them understand that it’s ok to fail sometimes but worth trying. Coordinated effort amongst parents and tutors is completely vital to a student’s prosperity. There are days when the student needs emotional support rather than a piece of a lesson. Connecting with the student on an emotional level makes it more probable that they will tune in to your advice and accept your recommendation to heart. Student requires mentors as much as they require teachers. .
