Patience and detail-oriented. I don't agree with the conclusion saying that the higher the academic performance a tutor has, the stronger his qualification is in this role. In order to be a good tutor, you need to have the ability to devise the most suitable plan for each student personally and be patience enough to guide them throughout the way to reach the common target. In school, the subject teacher need to face a relatively large group of students, so their teaching style and pace of lesson are more inclined to fit the majority but not everyone.
