What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Sharing my knowledge with younger students and interacting with students is the most rewarding and enjoyable experience in tutoring. To successfully explain a concept to a student, (especially a student that may be struggling), is both satisfying and rewarding at the highest level.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I have a strong understanding of maths, physics and general science, very strong interpersonal skills and understand that tutoring a high school student is very different from tutoring/explaining concepts to a colleague in the same course as me. I believe it is important not only to explain the concepts to answer potential questions, but to show why these concepts exist and how they are used every day. This leads to the age old answer of "when am i going to use this in life?" The sooner this question is answered fluently, the sooner the work becomes more interesting and enjoyable.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

As briefly mentioned in the question above, the most important things tutor can do for a student is to not make the experience another class that "drags on". Interacting with the student on a level where he/she can enjoy or be intrigued by the work is essential. To do this, you cannot let the theories from a textbook stay as theories. Explaining where they would be used on the real world and how they would be used is crucial to keep moral and interest high.
