What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Engaging with students in subjects I find interesting and being a part of developing their skills and knowledge. I wouldn't have been able to get where I am today if not for my teachers and tutors so it is very rewarding to pay that back to the next generation.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am patient, through my formal tutoring experience and informal experience with my younger siblings. I have learnt how to patiently listen and take time to ensure the student I am tutoring learns the topic fully. I am flexible in how I explain concepts and the methods I use to teach, ensuring that I can work with students to explain concepts in a way that makes sense to them.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Whilst ensuring the student learns or develops topics/skills is important, fostering an interest and curiosity in the subject is more important in my opinion. Through the support of teachers and students in my schooling I have grown a deep interest in maths, science and literature, which makes study and learning these subjects easy!

About Thomas

My academic history and interests

I am currently studying a Bachelors of Engineering (Honours) Mechatronics and manufacturing, this means I have had plenty of experience in maths, physics, chemistry and science. However, in VCE I also studied History and Literature, both of which I enjoyed and performed well in. I am able to tutor maths and science at any level and history/humanities/English at any level.

My hobbies

I enjoy music, both playing and listening, video games, hiking, bike riding and more!
