What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the satisfaction that happens when the other person gets the right answer or does something right, for which they have been struggling with. The person that I helped the most in Year 12 would come to me weekly with questions that she would have trouble with and I would sit for hours to work them out with her and at the end, when we solved all the questions, we would both be extremely happy with our efforts, and seeing her confidence improve as the year went on.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I can work well with anyone, people from other classes other than my own have come to me for help and I am glad to help them. I also am patient as I feel that is the most reassuring way to study and to learn something, when your teacher is patient and willing to go over things multiple times. I can also work well in a team, and am good at organisation and team management, as I have had the opportunity to be the 2020 Big Band Captain, which allowed me to figure out how to work best with multiple people in order to achieve a common goal.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe it is the confidence that tutors can develop in their students, so that the stress and nervousness is lessened when it comes to taking the end-of-year exams, or even just a simple test. Also, to be able to cultivate an understanding and mutual relationship with the student so that there is no shyness or hesitation when it comes to asking questions, because I know some students find it hard to ask their teacher questions.
