What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love to pass on my enthusiasm for maths, and I love to see the look of understanding when a student finally grasps a concept properly. Tutoring for me is about getting the student to enthusiastically engage with the subject so that they can deepen their understanding.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am passionate about the subject that I teach, and I think this helps to engage students in the lessons and to dispel any notions of maths being a boring subject. I am very familiar with the subject areas, and able to answer and explain any question that a student has. With my previous experience I've developed the ability to plan lessons around a student's strengths and weaknesses, giving them the type of lessons that they need most rather than one-size-fits-all approaches.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do is to give a student the necessary tools and confidence required to pursue their own learning. Explaining concepts in new ways that are understandable for the student and giving them opportunities to exercise what they know are very important for this process. This will be even more effective if the tutor can make the learning process enjoyable for the student, so that they willingly engage with the subject and concepts they are being taught.
