What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Personally, what I enjoy most about tutoring is helping a student solve their problems. In particular, I enjoy the process of helping a person progress from not understanding a concept to being able to solve problems with it. This is particularly satisfying as I know I have been a great help for somebody and they would achieve things with it.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My main strengths as a tutor would be thorough preparation and clear communication. To illustrate this, I would use a recent example of how I helped a student in university for her maths quiz. Before meeting with her, I called her first to ask what she needs help with and what is the structure of the test. Then, I would set a time with her that allows me to fully prepare questions, answers and explanation materials necessary. This would ensure the person gets adequate explanation, practice and confidence to ensure she gets a positive result in the test.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I consider establishing confidence, explaining concepts clearly and providing adequate practice to be the most important things a tutor can do for a student. My reason for this is because often students seek tutoring because they don't feel confident about the subject. Hence, as a tutor, helping students identify what they can do/do well, explain concepts in ways that they can understand in areas they need help in and providing practice such that they know they can accomplish the whole task competently are what I consider the most important things he/she must do for the student.
