What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I sincerely believe that helping people is the single most rewarding goal an individual may strive for in their life, which is why tutoring is so profoundly enjoyable for me as I view it as an immense privilege. Specifically, there is nothing as fulfilling as witnessing the moment of comprehension in a struggling student. Furthermore, I adore maths, ancient history and science, making tutoring an immensely interesting endeavour as they are all subjects I pursue out of personal interest.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am immensely empathetic to students which allows me to be tremendously effective in my lessons as I possess an intimate understanding of the struggles of school and can thus provide practical and worthwhile advice. This also allows me to relate to the students and excel at providing succinct and simplified explanations that allow for easy comprehension of difficult topics. Additionally, I am studying a bachelor degree of Actuarial Studies at Macquarie University and therefore have an exceedingly strong understanding of maths, refined communication skills and an intimate knowledge of the HSC.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

It is critical that tutors act as a source of support for students who are struggling or trying to grow, therefore the most important things one can do are create a positive learning environment, provide positive reinforcement, foster critical thinking, encourage independence, enact a tailored learning plan for the individual and most critically facilitate the building of confidence in academic settings.
