What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring is rewarding as it is nice to help someone who thinks they’re not able to do what you’re teaching them. The ‘lightbulb’ moment when tutees understand the concept taught is unmatched.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have 7.5years experience teaching maths and so I have a lot of techniques to explain different mathematical concepts in different ways. This will help tutees to make excellent progress. I am approachable and patient, so tutees will feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes building on their previous maths knowledge in order to build confidence and become better mathematicians.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Build a good relationship with the tutee so that their confidence can grow and they can excel at maths. Most pupils have a mental block against maths and are unable to achieve to their potential. If as a tutor you are patients and create a safe space where the tutee feels confident they will not be afraid to make mistakes and ask questions so they can have a deep understanding of the topics covered. Good communication and multiple explanations of concepts is important too.
