What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

In Maths, I love experiencing that 'light-bulb moment' and I want to help other students feel that too. I want to share the joy of Maths.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am contagiously passionate about Maths and Physics and understand how different students learn. I am approachable, friendly and articulate and have experience working with young children. Having just completed HSC with an ATAR of 97.25, I understand the HSC system and content well.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Allow the student to discover rather than memorise - I understand that subjects such as Maths can feel overwhelming if given as rote learning. Instead, allowing the students to discover the content for themselves not only helps with retaining information, but can make learning fun! Build the student's confidence - There is no "stupid answer", and I want the student to find confidence in their thought process. Tailor the lesson to each student's needs - every student is different, and identifying what teaching style and content focus will help them most is vital for successful tutoring.
