What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
To me, problem-solving is one aspect that I particularly enjoy about tutoring, particularly coming up with different ways in which I can explain a concept or question to the student so that they can understand it. Their consequent epiphany as they are able to grasp the concept gives me a satisfaction that drives me to further challenge the student and also myself.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe one key strength of mine is that I am adaptable. Depending on the type of student, I will adjust the lesson environment and my teaching style, building rapport to ensure the student feels comfortable enough to ask questions whilst also ensuring that they aren't too comfortable to the extent that they will not be attentive. I believed I am also quite perceptive, so when I can sense a student may be especially fatigued during a lesson, I will adjust accordingly as as a past student myself, I understand that school can become tiring.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to meet their needs, whether it be clarifying concepts to boost understanding or challenging them with harder concepts and questions. Ultimately, a student should feel as though they have learn something new after a lesson.
