What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is the teaching process itself. I find genuine fulfillment in the journey, even in the face of new challenges that arise such as students who may not be fully engaged or have difficulties grasping concepts. I enjoy being challenged because it broadens my perspective as a tutor, enabling me to understand what it's like to be stuck, much like those students. Thereby, allowing me to tailor to each student's needs by using my skills and knowledge to navigate their way through those challenges. It is extremely rewarding to see the progress that comes along the way.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Throughout my experience as a tutor, I believe my strengths lie in having patience and allowing students to be independent and try to solve problems without giving away the answers. This approach helps build their critical thinking skills and resilience with each new attempt. Secondly, I am quite flexible, understanding that each student is different, and as tutors, we encounter a variety of learning styles. I believe I have the adaptable skills needed to cater to each unique student's needs, which allows students to ask questions without hesitation, thereby enhancing learning outcomes.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to allow students to attempt challenging tasks independently before providing assistance. Secondly, a tutor can support students during obstacles by offering thorough explanations and breaking down each step. Lastly, a tutor can set tailored goals and milestones for each individual student. This keeps both the student and their parents informed about the child's academic performance.
