As a tutor, I believe I am great at developing a positive and constructive relationship with my students. I tailor my lessons around the individual needs and learning styles of my students, optimising what they get out of our classes. I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is give them confidence. For students, school can be stressful and overwhelming. This can lead to them feeling lost and unsure as to whether they understand concepts correctly. Tutoring Experience
Hi! My name is Lana and I have been tutoring for over 3 years! I have experience with students from different age groups and learning needs! I can tutor students in a range of disciplines, including mathematics, all sciences, english, legal studies, and humanities. My approach to tutoring specifically focuses in on the individual needs of the student, structuring my lessons around what they want to get out of their time in class. I offer a range of mock exams, worksheets, summaries, videos, and so much more!
Qualifications
I graduated high school with an ATAR above 98. I ranked first in my school in legal studies and mathematical methods, as well as ranking close to the top of english, chemistry, and biology. I am well skilled and equipped to support students academically in numerous subjects.

Sophie is a dedicated and enthusiastic learner. I always appreciate her positive attitude and determination to complete every problem in our lessons. I was super impressed with how quickly she completed her homework and her ability in english language convention tasks.
Sometimes, Sophie will guess an answer to a question when she doesn't understand, instead of attempting to work it out first or asking for some guidance. We have been working on reading the question carefully to identify clues instead of rushing to complete a task as quickly as possible and relying on guesswork.
Already seeing great improvements in Elijah's reading and comprehension. He is reading at a much faster and proficient pace and has a great comprehension ability.

At times, Elijah can rush through tasks. In a multiple choice question, he will select an answer hoping it is correct to get through the question quickly instead of taking the time to work it out. We will work on reading questions carefully and discussing that it is ok to take a little bit more time to ensure the answer is correct

Sophie sometimes gets a little overwhelmed with more complicated numbers in problems, so we will continue to discuss strategies to approach them confidently
