What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I'm someone that has been very passionate about STEM subjects like Astronomy, Maths and Physics since I was a toddler. In saying this, it feels like an absolute privilege to utilize problem-solving and academic skills that have almost become second nature to me, to nurture the passions of young people in their STEM-related studies. Furthermore, while I haven't professionally tutored anybody, I usually find myself helping and guiding fellow friends and classmates through homework/assignment questions. This ability to help others with something that I'm passionate about gives me great enjoyment.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

While I have no professional experience, I believe I share many skills demonstrated by a great tutor: - I'm extremely passionate about the topic matter. - I'm a naturally logical and math-minded thinker, with extensive practice in honing logical skills in school. - I'm diligent, hard-working and possess a strong work ethic. - I enjoy connecting with others, and building rapport with clients. - I'm an excellent communicator (previous jobs have helped me strengthen this skill) - I'm a very empathetic and understanding person that always aims to place myself in others shoes.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The ultimate goal of a tutor is to improve a student's skills in a given subject area. I believe one part of that is guiding the client through methods of problem-solving that work well for them and their process of thinking. However, another crucial part is building confidence in the client. This is done through both practice/revision, and positive but constructive encouragement from the tutor. As the student overcomes greater hurdles, this builds their confidence in the subject area, which fosters self-encouragement and grants them a passion for learning.
