What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I genuinely find joy in helping others! So just being able to help them with their homework or just being mentally supportive are things I really enjoy doing about being a tutor. Furthermore, seeing their improvements and achievements through time is also what I love about this job!
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Since I recently did my HSC (2017), I still am able to acknowledge the stress and anticipation whenever the students have exams or due dates approaching. Hence, that gives me the ability to encourage and support them mentally, which is crucial when it comes to studying and improving! Also, I can usually come up with examples to help breaking down the topics or when they encounter a hard problem. That way, they will feel more confident to study independently in the future, this can prepare them when it comes to in-class assessment tasks.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Again, providing help academically is important, however, everyone who is smart can do that easily. However, that's not everything being a tutor is about. A tutor needs to have the supportive manner, encouraging the student verbally would be one of many ways to help. And as for helping with their difficulties when it comes to homework, tutors should work with patience and make sure they understand the problems, this can prepare them better for working independently to solve it!
