What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
As a student, I really enjoyed most of the content I was taught and felt accomplished once I fully understood the content. Passing on the content I've learned to others as a tutor is something I enjoy now as I get to see the exact same reactions I had when my students understand the content and can confidently answer questions. Seeing students making remarkable progress further establishes that I've not only improved the knowledge of these students but how they'll also have adopted better study habits and skills that is essential to future study.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My greatest strengths are finding the strengths and weaknesses of students when solving problems. I can easily find when students don't fully understand content where I will revise that specific content with the student. Additionally, finding mistakes that students make is also a great strength of mine as I can quickly find what the student is thinking of during the question as I drop subtle hints that allows them to spot their mistake. Thus, doing this many times allows my students to not only make less mistakes but also spot their mistakes without me saying anything.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A decent tutor is someone who just teaches the content to the student. A great tutor is a mentor who guides the student into a path of success by not only teaching them the academic content well but also providing further help on other aspects that go beyond the classroom. A friendly tutor can encourage students to maintain their health and fitness and also provide comfort in times of stress. Other qualities that tutors should possess are patience, dedication and listening skills so that the student can feel respected and valued while learning under the tutor.
