What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really love tutoring, particularly younger kids, because I enjoy the whole process of teaching others, helping them understand a concept or question they otherwise may not fully grasp. To me, the satisfaction of both learning and teaching is something I both strive for and hope to provide for an individual student. In addition, the joy of watching a student I taught develop over time gives me immense fulfilment and gratification.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that I have very strong communication skills. Thus, instead of simply showing the solution to a problem, I am able to break it down in to easy, digestible chunks; in the process, strengthening the actual understanding and knowledge of key concepts and foundational thinking instead of simply teaching the necessary steps for a solution.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is make the subject material engaging, fun and captivating. In my opinion, a student can only learn and develop if they choose to do so, regardless of the ability or experience of the tutor or student. Thus, by making the subject in question seem alive through enthusiasm and engagement, the student is able to better experience and connect with the subject on a deeper level, making the lesson more effective and impactful overall.
