What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring brings me the most joy when students finally understand concepts which they had been struggling with before due to my explanation. The look of pure excitement as well as realisation in their eyes when they finally grasp the material makes me feel the most content and happy that I made an impact/ change in a student's learning journey/ attitude towards the subject they are tutored in and made me feel honoured that I was a part of their learning process.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think that my strengths as a tutor is my adaptability to my student's learning style/ pace. For example, one student I have has difficulty in understanding foundational concepts, to which I give her simple examples and detailed explanations/ drawings to concepts. However, for another student I would give practice questions (past paper) as she understands the material. I am very organised and have a deep understanding of the subjects I teach, and thus have the ability to explain concepts in a clear and engaging manner due to my experience.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think it would be the unlimited support and confidence the tutor has for their student as well as their passion for their subject they are teaching. If the student feels like their tutor listens to them and has confidence in their potential, then in due time, the student will likely flourish and develop their abilities. A lot of the time students do not do well because they don't believe in themselves. Having passion or even confidence in the taught subject will allow the student to take on your advice. It likely will also influence them and also make them passionate too!
