What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is just watching your students go from not knowing much to excelling at what they wish to learn. This is really fulfilling and is an amazing feeling knowing that you put them on that path and taught them the knowledge needed for them to get there. I also enjoy tutoring because each student has a different way of learning or a different problem that they struggle with. This really offers a degree of excitement to the job and provides you with the opportunity to problem-solve, which is something I love doing.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my strengths as a tutor are my ability to explain difficult concepts in a very simple manner using diagrams, tables, and excellent communication skills. I am also able to change my approach to teaching depending on how the student learns best, making my teaching very effective. Furthermore, I direct a lot of focus to teaching the student how to learn rather than just what they are learning. This develops them as a person and not just a student, providing them with the skills to self-learn, which is very important in education and life.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is offer an environment where they can comfortably learn and raise any concerns or questions they might have. This comes from building a good relationship with the student, which often not many tutors do, making the student's learning ineffective. Offering an organised and well thought out plan for the student to accelerate their learning is also really important, as anyone can teach the content, including their school teachers, but only a teacher can target specific weaknesses and develop a personalised plan for the student.
