What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing my students achieve a more holistic understanding of the subject as the term progresses. A thorough understanding of the subject taught provides a level of inherent confidence to the student which carries over into the demeanor whilst learning the subject. My favourite parts are Fostering the students' curiosity and allowing them to learn in a safe environment.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I constantly strive for engagement in my lessons as I specialise in teaching content-heavy subjects that are stereotypically boring. However, this has challenged me to create a unique teaching style that allows for the complete dissemination of knowledge, regardless of the topic. I can analyse my lessons for weak points which I can change, to improve the quality of my lessons. I can also retain and re-explain knowledge well, optimising content retention within students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

1. Fostering interest in the subject: If a tutor can kickstart an intrinsic motivator for the subject within the student, then the student can study the syllabus more thoroughly without it feeling boring. 2. Provide a holistic understanding of the subject: HSC and School Exams test the level of knowledge possessed by a student. As such we must give students a complete understanding of the subject that allows them to answer a range of question types. 3. Support students in challenging parts of the course: Tutors are subject matter experts and should answer any questions to assist students.
