What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy goals and wins, however small they may be. When a student struggles for a concept and my explanation makes it finally click for them, that gives me immense satisfaction.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My biggest strengths as a tutor is my ability to understand my students and using a goal oriented process to help them achieve their goals with confidence and have tangible, trackable results.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing I can do is instil confidence and belief into a student. My method of process-driven teaching allows students to gain confidence to tackle any academic goal, which arises from the hard work they put into the plan we develop together. Hard work combined with a clear direction and plan has led to amazing results for many of my students.

Testimonials 🏆

Zabby connects with the students and understands what they wish to achieve. He is dedicated. Aside from being a knowledge master, he is courteous and punctual. Thank you! …

About Zabby

Who am I?

My name's Zabby and I'm currently a third year medical student studying at UWA. I've been a tutor for close to two years now and I specialise in providing tutoring for maths and science at a primary, high school level and ATAR level.

My Tutoring Philosophy

Tutoring for me is abut assisting a student in making a discovery. My approach is question and solution based, as concepts are more easily remembered if they answer a question or have a use. I don't immediately give answers or methods to solve questions, rather I nurture a process of thinking which can help them to answer questions which leads to my final goal of instilling the student with such self-confidence, to the point where they no longer need a tutor.

What is it like working with me?

My lessons are very relaxed and dependent on what my student's goals and needs are. Each lesson is pre-planned the week before with materials, homework and goals being discussed beforehand. I am not a rigid teacher and I encourage students to interrupt me if a concept does not make sense, or if the topic relates to something else.
