What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Although I haven't had experience in academic tutoring, I have had experience in coaching Year 7's and 8's in Rowing. I love being able to mentor others, especially with me being a younger person who's been through the struggles of schooling very recently, and has been able to push through and excel. I believe that the most rewarding part about tutoring is knowing that you've not only improved someone's knowledge of a subject, but have maybe even inspired them into fields of academics or at least to persevere in excelling at the subject and succeeding in schooling.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe that my patience and knowledge in teaching the youth are some of my key strengths that I can bring to tutoring. For me working as a tutor, although more challenging than for instance a retail job, will provide a greater reward. Knowing that I have improved someone's schooling, and have hopefully taught and inspired them to persevere, is far more valuable of an experience that I couldn't get in many other jobs. Furthermore, my experience in Mathematical Methods, English Literary Studies and Biology in Year 12 will make me a sufficient candidate for a wide range of tutoring.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important things a tutor can do for a student is to be patient, kind and encouraging. Subjects such as Mathematics, Science and English can have especially challenging concepts, which require a lot of patience and encouragement to understand. I believe that a more empathetic and encouraging approach is crucial in tutoring, especially in years 9 and below, with Years 10-12 still maintaining this approach, but focusing more on learning how to study proficiently for examinations and tests.
