What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I haven't ever been a formal tutor before but I have always enjoyed helping my friends and classmates when they would get stuck as trying to simplify and explain a concept proved to be a great way to consolidate and refresh my own knowledge. I also always find it very satisfying when I can help someone understand a concept they may have been struggling with.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My strength as a tutor would be my ability to break things down very simply and explain things step by step. I'm rarely the first to understand a concept and have to work at it for a while before I can finally grasp the concept which I believe may help me relate to the students I tutor better.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe that a good tutor will be patient and do their best to explain concepts in a way that the individual student will understand and also do their best to answer any questions. I also think a really important thing a tutor can do for a student is emphasise the importance of persisting and learning from failure. I also believe it is important to provide lots of encouragement and try to make learning an enjoyable experience for the student.
