What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
One of the greatest feelings is when a concept finally 'clicks' and you can now confidently understand a complex topic that for longest time was just a dead end. It is a good feeling being able to guide and support others, helping them relieve the burdens and stress of study.
A common saying is that the best method of learning is teaching, I believe this to be true. Through either creating lessons, or conveying information and learning strategies, I find myself growing too, as I approach and solve problems in the pursuit of providing the best I can for my students
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe from past experiences is that the most notable strength I have as a tutor is the ability to break down and isolate complex problems into more digestible concepts that can be easily understood. From my own experience, I have noticed that in larger classes teachers sometimes tend to explain a method or formula but fail to dissect it in depth, which can leave students confused or lack in lateral thinking when approaching less straightforward problems. I provide that depth of knowledge to the student, allowing them to use critical thinking rather than following an instruction.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that the most important I can do for a student is being a role model that a student can be comfortable to ask questions and address problems and issues within their academic career. Eliminating the fear of being looked down upon for not understanding a concept and the loss of moral is the first step to improving learning and growth. This way a student can remain inquisitive and interested in their studies.

About Joshua
Past Tutoring experiences
Before joining Ezymath, I was assigned to a mathematics support group in high school. This was a group that the seniors who undertook specialist mathematics could aid the younger year levels in their mathematics. The range of support I provided ranged from helping year 9 students with polynomials to guiding year 11 students in their assignments.
