What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Personally there are two things I enjoy the most. Firstly, it is seeing the moments when a topic/type of question really clicks for a student, where they were struggling on that topic before. Secondly, seeing the student apply what they have learned from our lesson to their own work/questions really gives me satisfaction, knowing that my help has really made a difference.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my academic experience and success makes me a strong tutor as I have an understanding of maths and physics which is beyond the syllabus of the students, and therefore I am able to explain topics in different ways and with a depth that other tutors may not be able to. Additionally, I am only 22 years old and this makes it easy to relate to students, allowing me to get on well with most.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Firstly, improving the understanding of the student is very important- 1:1 teaching allows for in depth discussion which is not usually possible in classroom environments. Secondly, identifying specific weaknesses in problem solving (often systematic) which you only tend to recognise by watching a student complete questions. Finally, obtaining positive results from a student and improving their grades is of course an important end result and is a main purpose of tutoring. If one can inspire enjoyment in students, this is also very beneficial, and usually makes the above easier.
