What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is the how rewarding and fulfilling it is. I enjoy the fact that I am able transfer the knowledge I have to another student in a way that caters specifically to them. I find the connection and relationship that I build with each student very special and it is what brings me back to want to tutor again.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe I am very patient. I also have ~12 year of work experience which I have developed outstanding problem solving skills which come to play when dealing with difficult or spontaneous situations, such as dealing with difficult students. I get a lot of feedback that I am very good with people and I believe it comes from how observant I am as a person. So all the skills aforementioned are my main strengths that will guide me as a tutor.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that a tutor is also a mentor to their students. This comes from personal experience where I had THE BEST math tutor and life mentor in my high school years. My tutor has definitely set the path for my life and I thank her very much in shaping the person I have become. I consider a good tutor to be one who is dedicated and genuinely cares about the well-being of their students.

I wanted Sasha to familiarise himself with the style of questions asked in the 2023 exam specifically, being the first exam of the newly revised study curriculum. Sasha has a strong understanding of the core concepts, and most of his initial answers were correct.
Again, Sasha is very strong across all topics. There are very minor things that he is missing out on, which could significantly increase his scores. I have discussed with Sasha and let him know that the month before his exams should be past papers WITH time constraints to mimic the exam as close as possible. I've also let him know to underline/highlight keywords as he reads the question so that he isn't skipping over important information. Another point worth mentioning is to perhaps highlight headings of all the CAS functions in his notes to be more time efficient :D
