What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The relationship aspect between a tutor and their student is one of the things I enjoy about tutoring. I find joy in being able to help others while enhancing my skills through learning and being able to work through and solve the troubles of students together. I also think that tutoring would greatly help me develop my psychology major skills, making it a job I would enjoy.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My problem-solving and organised mindset are the two strongest strengths I would say I have as a tutor. Being able to work through questions with students and conflicts when things like scheduling or specific subject concerns arise, I am confident in my skills in solving the issue. Similarly, I am very organised, which is a crucial skill in tutoring as a responsible tutor will be able to work through tasks and organise or prep classes beforehand whilst having good time management.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
As a previous student, I think that being able to help a student confidently and comfortably understand and face their subjects is a crucial thing that a tutor can do for a student. Likewise, understanding the individual needs of each student is very important for the whole tutoring process to go smoothly.

About Angelina
How will I help a student succeed in their studies?
Understanding that each student has their own ways of learning and different paces to succeeding is one of the key ways I like engaging with students. Allowing for a kind and fun lesson will help me as a tutor and the student connect and have fun learning while giving the student confidence in their learning material.
Relevant Experiences
I have completed volunteering programs for schools in Spain to teach them English and have engaged with children and people of all ages through volunteering, child care and babysitting. Therefore, I am confident in working with each student and their needs patiently and kindly while encouraging a nice and comfortable study environment.
Relevant Qualifications
I graduated from an American school in Asia which allows me to speak English, Chinese, and Cantonese fully with conversational Korean and Malay as languages too. Additionally, I graduated with a 4.2 GPA and completed the SAT with a high score.

Tayla still needs assistance with coming up with solutions by herself. Sometimes she chooses to take the shortcut answer which may be right but ultimately end up with a wrong answer for more complicated questions.
Confidence with multiplying decimals has improved a lot. Adding fractions are starting to become more familiar.

Tayla sometimes forgets how to do certain problems so we will work on making sure content is not only understood but familiarised. Her square roots and time tables are still a little rocky but by the end of the class her understanding of square roots were a lot clearer.

Tayla has significantly improved in her times tables which will help her a lot coming forward for more complicated problems! She went from 6 minutes to 2 minutes and seems a lot more confident and quick in her skills. Her input and output understanding also improved with a bit of explanation.
She still needs some help with having her own thoughts without assistance on some problems which we can easily work on. Things like solving rules for inputs and outputs by herself is still a developing skill.
Quite confident with multiplying decimals without issues. Confidence seems to be building well around math skills over time.

Adding and subtracting fractions and understanding how it works with common denominators. The concept of common denominators can still be a little bit tricky, but skills are developing.
