What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Although I haven't been a tutor before, during high school I really enjoyed helping my peers during class with the school work. It feels extremely fulfilling to help someone else achieve with me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am encouraging and supportive. I know the content (just have dig through my brain for it). Most importantly, I know the mind of a student, as I am one (in university) and just recently graduated high school last year.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is understand the student and their mindset towards school and schoolwork. If you understand a student, you can adapt your tutoring to give them the most support for them to achieve what they desire.

Learnt new concepts, quickly understood how negative and fractional indices work. Can solve them both together. Very good at expanding brackets with surds in them. Improved a lot with rationalising the denominator as well.
Still a bit slow when it comes to simplifying surds and surd expressions. Should revise different types of questions to fully master surds and indices. Lots of different question types, so it is important to understand all of them. Will continue this topic in the future.

He is improving quite a bit when it comes to interpreting worded questions. Has mastered probability tables, can do them in his sleep. Improved a lot over the hour with his understanding of probability trees and can determine probabilities based off "and" and "or" questions.
Just needs to revise every now and then to cement the different kinds of questions. Not really much to improve, not as strong at probability trees compared. Just keep notes to revise when needed.

Very strong in probability. Quickly picks up the sub-topics. Went well in new questions regarding cards and dice. Understands relative frequency well and can apply it to multi-step questions. Is confident in probability and it shows in his work.
Just continue practicing all kinds of questions to achieve mastery. Watch out for duplicates in outcome tables. Should also focus on two-way tables to fully understand how to read each one based on the question given.

Picks up on the simple mistakes made in the test. Incorrect or unfinished questions still were attempted and working out shown. Strong at rationalising surds and expanding equations. Understood and learned from going through incorrect questions.
Needs to check for simple mistakes to boost marks in the future. Will have to review further for both topics to better understand questions such as inequalities and worded questions. Continued study will boost confidence and in turn makes questions easier and marks higher.
