What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

It is the sheer joy I feel when my students are able to fathom a complex topics. When I am able to simplify a difficult and complex topic in a concise and comprehensive way, and the moment they say “I got it!â€, that light bulb moment lights up my day. That is why I am passionate about tutoring.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I would say it is my great communication skills and my ability to establish rapport that enable me to be a better tutor. These two skills go hands-in-hands. It helps to build trust between the tutor and students, and once that is established, students are more comfortable with asking questions and contributing their ideas. Moreover, I believe that learning is reciprocated. Regardless of age, there’s always new knowledge that could be shared, hence why in my previous experience as a tutor, my students are very proactive and they very much enjoyed the lessons.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe tutor should share their experience with their students. As someone who has walked in their shoes, tutors should be able to share new knowledges and experiences, something that a teacher wouldn’t be able to sympathise with. Therefore, besides teaching them facts about a specific topics, tutors should go above and beyond, providing students with helpful tips/strategies/resources which they had find useful.
