What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Engaging with a student, creating a dialogue and exchange of knowledge. I love helping people succeed and become the best version of themselves, and I really love when students benefit from my tutoring. I am passionate about helping students achieve success in their academic career, as well as inspiring them and influencing them to become good people overall. I like to think beyond the classroom and criteria and want them to achieve success not only in school but in life overall.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am really good explaining difficult concepts, and have multiple different ways to explain things up my sleeve. I keep students engaged either by asking them questions, or to repeat/explain what I just taught them back to me. I prioritise student involvement and aim to maximise it. In the case for maths, I aim to give students time to solve problems to ensure they are actively engaged. I also have a great sense of humour and this becomes an asset when I’m teaching as students become engaged by me also keeping them laughing along the way while they’re learning.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Being supportive, encouraging and validating for sure. Providing constructive feedback all the time which enables a deeper and further understanding of the subject. Rewarding their achievements, which overall encourages them to do and achieve more. I think also being patient is crucial, this knowledge and subjects can be super hard sometimes, so it’s important to give as much time as the student needs to be confident in the subject. I think also tutors should draw from their experiences in school, as tutors were once in the same position and can offer pretty good advice as they understand.
