What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I love most about tutoring is being able to build a strong bond with my students and witnessing their growth and progress first-hand. I feel immense satisfaction and joy whenever a student makes a breakthrough in a concept or problem. The sense of accomplishment of seeing them gradually acquire knowledge and skills and improve their self-confidence is unparalleled. Moreover, through tutoring, I can constantly challenge myself to find more effective teaching methods and strategies to continuously improve my teaching skills.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am a recent graduate of UNSW Business School and my WAM was 73.625/100. whereas my Maths GPA in high school was 89.17/100. I am confident and capable of teaching Business and Maths. I have been working as a chess tutor since July 2022 and I am responsible for teaching chess to students (95% are primary school students) in different schools in Sydney. I have also worked as a General Assistant at TAFE NSW, so not only do I hold valid WWCC and First Aid certificates, but it has also helped me to have a wealth of experience working with young generations of multicultural backgrounds.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that one of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to inspire and motivate them to learn. In addition, tutors should provide a personalised approach to teaching that meets the needs and learning styles of each student. At the same time, it is crucial to establish a good communication and trusting relationship, which helps students to be more confident in expressing problems and confusion and willing to accept help and guidance. A tutor should constantly encourage and support students to help them overcome challenges and achieve their academic and personal goals.
