What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love maths always have, but I love being able to help people understand it. I had learning difficulties when I was growing up and I wish I had someone who was actually able to help me focus on it and understand before I gave up on it. I was intelligent in the fact that I was actually able to do it from a young age but I never really liked sitting still and actually learning and enjoying it the way I do now. So I really enjoy seeing people love maths the way I do and helping them see that understanding it and learning it is the first step into actually enjoying and engaging in it.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Understanding that learning something from the start takes time and is not always easy until you fully learnt it. I have had leadership roles in high school where we as the students helped the younger students with learning and sports. I really enjoyed seeing them all be able to understand it all and wished I had that when I was younger as well.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Be supportive, not aggressive or negative in any way. Help them understand it in a fun and engaging way that they will find it helpful and also fun. It helps progress faster and also let’s them understand your not there to make them feel like it’s “prisonâ€. It’s also very important to be very patient and understanding, being able to know that they are still a child and are still learning and can get either distracted or annoyed when they can’t understand. so it’s very important to be patient and understanding. Lastly I think it’s important to stay professional, your not there to be friends.
