Maths - Covered types of angles, Size of angles including straight lines and understanding the size of the angles within a triangle, a circle and a extended straight line. Austin understands how to work out the basic angle sizes of an object such as a triangle. Homework was completed well. We will continue to work on Geometric Reasoning at a higher level to introduce him to future work. English -Reviewed Inferencing work completed for homework. We worked through the questions together so as increase Austin's interpretation skills within comprehension. When discussing the text, he could on most occasions work through the underlying meaning of the passage, we now have to focus on getting those thoughts and ideas on paper.

Maths - Worked through and gave a list of Geometric Formulas to ascertain area and perimeter of both 2D and 3D shapes. Started looking at Geometric reasoning, including different angles and lines. We worked through solving word problems in Measurement. Austin worked very well through these questions and showed a good understanding. English - Spelling 15/20
English - Austin needs to work on making inferences when reading text and answering questions. He needs to delve deeper into understanding the text and give more in-depth answers. In his homework on Inferencing he did not show that he understood the text completely, so his answers were not well rounded and correct. We are doing more work on Context within text so this should help him in this area.
