What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Although I have had minimal experience, in times where I have helped my classmates with work, I really enjoy watching the process of them going from not understanding a topic, to then something 'clicking' and they understand and are able to get the answer correct.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Maths is a subject I am most passionate about and have a good understanding of. I am a good communicator and very patient. I am also good at observing different people's thinking methods and adapting the way I approach tutoring the content to suit their thinking style in order for them to best understand and grasp the topic.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Understanding the students perspective and way of thinking is very important. As a tutor, it is important that I first understand their basic skills in terms of the subject before I begin to teach so I know which methods of solving problems will be easiest to understand for them. For example, when solving a quadratic equation for x, one student may find it easier to factorise whilst another may find it easier to use the quadratic formula instead. Communication is also vital and it is important that the student feels comfortable openly communicating if they still don't understand.Tutoring students in 👦 👧
