What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

To me, the best part about tutoring is viewing the growth of the student. I love being a part of this growth journey and to be able to contribute to it is the best part. I also enjoy teaching in general. I have a younger brother whom i regularly help out with school work and i find it enjoyable to be able to share my knowledge with someone else, and in the process still learn something new. Finally, tutoring gives me a chance to connect with younger children whose company i very much enjoy.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my strengths as a tutor include my ability to cater my teaching to the individuals needs. I am very adapatable, empathetic and patient thus allowing me to teach different types of students in the most effective way. Having taught my brother a lot of tricky concepts to consolidate my understanding during the hsc, i came to realise i am also able to simplify complicated concepts into something understandable to a young child. Additionally i am a very organised person who would follow up on the child to ensure the learning doesn\'t stop after class.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

To me, the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is make them feel comfortable. The student must first feel comfortable so that they are willing to absorb the knowledge and ask questions when they are having difficulties. As a tutor i beleive it is essential to first get to know the student and then decide what the best teaching method may be as different students learn best in different ways. I also think its extremely important to fully commit to a child\'s learning which means the tutor must provide homework, mark it and help the student outside of class if necessary.
