What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Getting to know and interact with each student I teach. To find out their strengths and weaknesses and then to help them work on each. Also, the opportunity to see improvements in their skills and knowledge that reflect in their grades at school which makes them happy and proud of their own achievements.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

The ability to make them not hate coming to class and to enjoy learning. I can make the lessons engaging, interactive, personalised and fun which hopefully motivates them to want to be there and to learn, which is important as I've seen from experience that most kids are forced into tutoring. Also my patience, which, of course, is required for the role, as well as my ability to get students back on track when they appear distracted, especially for the younger grades. Further, my ability to explain concepts clearly and repetitively and to find innovative ways to do so when required.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think it's really important for a tutor to help their student increase their confidence in themselves and their own abilities which will allow them to become independent and confident overtime. This means always listening to them and their concerns, being patient, and helping them to achieve their learning goals. Showing empathy and positivity towards the student, no matter the situation, is essential to help build rapport which will then help motivate them.
